The vessel is assessed by the South African maritime safety Authority (SAMSA) each year to ensure your safety. Every cruise is conducted under the supervision of a qualified skipper and crew. We conduct a safety briefing on the boat prior to every cruise. The briefing explains how to use life jackets, emergency procedures and the location of safety equipment, including the first aid box.
We provide life jackets for all children aged 5 and under (as required by law) to wear while cruising. We also insist that children aged 5 to 12 wear life jackets and that all children be under adult supervision while the boat is underway. Should any children refuse to wear the life jackets we’ll refuse to take them on board. No children are allowed to go upstairs (upper deck) without being accompanied by an adult.
No smoking on the vessel while it’s underway.
An indemnity form is required to be completed and signed by all passengers. All children under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult or adult guardian who will also sign our indemnity form on their behalf.
